About RNS Institute of Technology
RNS Institute of Technology (RNSIT) was founded in 2001 by the RNS Group, started by Dr. R. N. Shetty. The campus is at Channasandra, off Dr. Vishnuvardhan Road near Rajarajeshwari Nagar, in south-west Bengaluru. RNSIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and was granted autonomous status in 2023, so it now sets its own curriculum and exams while VTU awards the degree.
The college is approved by AICTE, accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade, and has NBA-accredited programmes. It was placed in the 251–300 band for engineering in NIRF 2025. Its counselling codes are reported as E118 for KEA and E104 for COMEDK, which are useful during option entry.
