What is COMEDK UGET?
COMEDK UGET (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka Under Graduate Entrance Test) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by COMEDK, established in 2004 under the Karnataka Professional Colleges Foundation. It is the main non-domicile route into private, unaided engineering colleges in Karnataka — around 190 member colleges across the state, including most of the private and autonomous colleges in our Bangalore directory, accept COMEDK UGET scores.
Unlike KCET, COMEDK UGET has no Karnataka-domicile restriction, so it is a popular route for students from other states who want to study engineering in Bangalore.
COMEDK UGET eligibility
Candidates must have completed 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. There is generally no minimum age limit, and candidates from any Indian state can apply — there is no domicile restriction, unlike KCET.
COMEDK UGET exam pattern
COMEDK UGET is a computer-based test (CBT), conducted in a single 3-hour session:

Total: 180 multiple-choice questions for 180 marks. Each correct answer scores +1; there is no negative marking for wrong or unattempted questions. The syllabus is based on the Class 11 and 12 (PUC I & II) CBSE/Karnataka board curriculum, with roughly 33% of questions from Class 11 topics and 67% from Class 12.

Which colleges accept COMEDK UGET?
Nearly every private and autonomous engineering college in our Bangalore college directory accepts COMEDK UGET, typically for 20-30% of B.E./B.Tech seats, alongside KCET and management quota.
