About BMS Institute of Technology and Management

BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BMSIT&M) was founded in 2002 by the BMS Educational Trust, the same trust that runs BMS College of Engineering. It is a separate college with its own campus, cutoffs and fees. The campus is at Avalahalli on Doddaballapur Main Road in Yelahanka, north Bengaluru, and is reported to cover about 21 acres.

BMSIT&M is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), approved by AICTE, and accredited by NAAC with an A grade. Several programmes are NBA accredited. NIRF 2024 placed it in the 201–300 band for engineering.

Courses and branches

BMSIT&M offers B.E. in about nine to ten branches, along with M.Tech, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. programmes. B.E. branches include:

  • Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, and Electronics and Telecommunication

Eligibility

For B.E., candidates need a pass in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Computer Science or Electronics. The minimum is 45% aggregate in these subjects, or 40% for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka. A valid KCET or COMEDK UGET rank is needed for counselling seats.
