About Don Bosco Institute of Technology

Don Bosco Institute of Technology (DBIT) was established in 2001 on a 36-acre campus at Kumbalagodu, Mysore Road, near Kengeri, in south-west Bengaluru. DBIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and was granted autonomous status in 2024.

DBIT is approved by AICTE, recognised by the Government of Karnataka and UGC, and accredited by NBA and NAAC.

Courses and branches

DBIT offers the four-year B.E./B.Tech across nine-plus specialisations, along with M.Tech and MBA programmes. B.E. branches include:

Eligibility

For B.E., candidates need a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and English, plus one other science subject, with at least 45% aggregate. A valid KCET, COMEDK or JEE Main rank is required for the respective route.
