Why students choose NHCE
About New Horizon College of Engineering
New Horizon College of Engineering (NHCE) was set up in 2001 by the New Horizon Educational Institution. The college is on the Outer Ring Road near Marathahalli, in the heart of Bengaluru’s eastern IT corridor. Many major technology companies are a short drive away, which helps students find internships.
NHCE has been autonomous since 2016 and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). It is approved by AICTE and UGC and accredited by NAAC with an A grade. Eligible programmes are NBA accredited, and NHCE was placed in the 151–200 band for engineering in NIRF 2025.
Courses and branches
NHCE offers B.E. along with M.Tech, MBA, MCA, Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Engg.) by research. B.E. branches include:
- Computer Science and Engineering, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (Data Science), and Information Science
- Electronics and Communication, and Electrical and Electronics
- Mechanical and Civil Engineering
Eligibility
For B.E., candidates need a pass in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology or Computer Science. The minimum is 45% aggregate in these subjects, or 40% for reserved categories.
Admission routes at NHCE

COMEDK
Portals disagree on whether NHCE currently fills B.E. seats through COMEDK. Check the latest COMEDK participating-college list before counting on this route.
