About REVA University

REVA University was established in 2012 under the Karnataka State Private Universities Act, run by the Rukmini Educational Charitable Trust. It sits on a 45-acre campus at Rukmini Knowledge Park, Kattigenahalli, in Yelahanka, north Bengaluru. As a private state university it awards its own degrees rather than being affiliated to VTU, and it sets its own syllabus and examinations.

REVA is recognised by the UGC, approved by AICTE, and accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade. In NIRF 2025 it was placed in the 251-300 band for engineering (figures vary by source; the university-wide NIRF rank is reported around 151-200). REVA offers 100+ programmes across engineering, management, law, architecture, commerce, science and other schools.

Courses and branches

REVA offers a four-year B.Tech across a wide range of specialisations, along with M.Tech, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. programmes. B.Tech branches include:

  • Computer Science and Engineering, CSE (AI & ML), CSE (AI & Data Science) and CSE (Cyber Security)
  • Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics
  • Mechanical, Civil and Aerospace Engineering

Eligibility

For B.Tech, candidates need a pass in 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science or Electronics, and at least 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates). REVA accepts KCET, COMEDK, JEE Main, CUET and its own REVA EET score.

Admission routes at REVA

1. KCET

Karnataka candidates with a KCET rank can secure a seat through KEA counselling. REVA reports offering a 100% tuition scholarship to students with a KCET rank under 1,000, under its REVA RISE scheme.

2. COMEDK UGET and JEE Main

Students from any state can apply through COMEDK counselling or with a JEE Main rank, alongside CUET for some programmes.

3. REVA EET and management/NRI quota

REVA conducts its own entrance test (REVA EET) and also fills a share of seats directly through management and NRI quota. Fees on this route are higher than KCET seats. Call +91 76760 80008 for updated fee and seat details.
