About Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology

Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) was founded in 1986 by the Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust and is named after the engineer and statesman Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The campus is in Krishnadevaraya Nagar, Hunasamaranahalli, off the Kempegowda International Airport Road in north Bengaluru.

Sir MVIT is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved by AICTE. It is accredited by NAAC with an A grade, and six undergraduate programmes (Civil, Mechanical, EEE, Biotechnology, CSE and ISE) are reported to hold NBA accreditation.
